2 Posts – Medicine of the Elderly rehabilitation wards in the Royal Victoria Building / Wards 50/51
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Physiotherapy Teams in the WGH.
This post will work alongside physiotherapists in the Medicine of the Elderly wards within the RVB (Royal Victoria Building) and wards 50/51 providing rehabilitation to frail and often acutely unwell patients.
Candidates should display evidence of experience of teaching prescribed exercise programmes, gait re-education, general rehabilitation skills, and administrative tasks.
The individual must display excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to work alone or with others.
Experience of working on wards in an acute hospital setting would be ideal, particularly working with frail elderly people.
Previous experience as a physiotherapy assistant or within the physiotherapy profession would be beneficial.
Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes, supervision, and CPD opportunities.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
