SRM are preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales. The works to be undertaken will involve heavy construction/ civil engineering works across a variety of industrial work fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, commencing initially with a series of enabling works ahead of the main programme of works commencing Q3 : 2025.
If you are a Senior Site Engineer with experience working on large multi-million-pound multi-disciplinary projects, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Team in Port Talbot to work on an interesting, complex and technically challenging project. The project value will be in excess of £200m and will be undertaken under an NEC form of contract.

The Senior Site Engineer role
As a senior member of the project team, reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing, implementing and checking the design, coordination and leadership of a number of sub-contractors employed as
works contractors
within the respective area of works.
There'll be a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies such as; architects, engineers, works contractors, OEM Providers including Client Team Members
You'll review and manage numerous setting out & checking
requirements
to a high degree of accuracy, including survey control requirements for the whole of the site area, working as a key member of the operational delivery team.
Your Profile
Core areas / packages of work will include ; Earthworks, Piling, Heavy RC Foundations & Structural Basements and Structures; RC Steel Frame, demonstrated knowledge and experience in these areas is a must.
Main contractor construction experience
Must be competent & experienced in using the latest setting out tools/ technology
Must be a Team Player
Must be hands on and with a “can do attitude”
Will be site-based working as a key project team member
Must have previous experience managing packages on Multi-million pound multi-disciplinary construction projects including setting out, checking rebar & concrete deliveries/ testing
Experience of managing multiple engineering and / work contractor packages from basements to structures and earthworks as noted above
Experience in major industrial/ heavy Construction / Civil Engineering projects is a must
Ideally located in South Wales with in daily travelling distance of Port Talbot.
