Materials Chemist (Metal Organic Frameworks)
Location - Belfast
Our client is a specialist materials company, working with novel porous material technology supporting in Carbon capture. Due to expansion, our client is currently seeking an experienced Materials Chemist to join the company on a permanent basis.
As a Materials Chemist, you will be laboratory-based, running independent projects to support the development and design of porous materials with a focus on carbon capture.
Responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking research projects to investigate and evaluate porous material performance.
* Analysing and characterising physical and chemical properties to support material development.
* Interpreting and recording gas uptake efficiency of materials using BET analysis, PXRD, and SEM.
* Presenting and reporting research results, working collaboratively with the larger team.
Suitable applicants will have:
* Prior experience of Metal-Organic Frameworks, ideally for carbon capture.
* Experience working on the development of porous materials.
* Strong technical experience within analytical and characterisation techniques.
* PhD in Materials Chemistry or MSc with relevant post-graduate experience.
