The Chief Finance & Operating Officer (CFOO) will join the executive leadership team, with responsibility for driving strategy and innovation in Finance, IT, HR, and Facilities. The role will support the CEO and work with his leadership team, ensuring that the digital, people and financial strategy support the high performance and productivity required to meet the needs of REC members.
Your role will provide a high level of governance, acting as Finance Director and Company Secretary, with responsibilities covering:
1. Driving income growth and managing spending to achieve commercial goals, generating profits that support the REC’s purpose and allow for reinvestment.
2. Enhancing organisational performance through efficiencies, cutting-edge technology, and a robust people strategy.
3. Leading financial controls, data, and management reporting to inform and support decision-making across the business.
We are looking for an accomplished leader with the following core skills and experience:
1. A proven track record of leading transformative change across organisations, particularly in technology-driven initiatives.
2. Strong financial leadership with a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
3. A collaborative mindset, capable of building trust and delivering results in partnership with non-executive boards and leadership teams.
4. Exceptional people management, communication, and commercial decision-making skills.
