With a rich history dating back to 1897, Glen Moray is one of Scotland’s most storied distilleries, producing exceptional single malt whiskies for over a century. We are seeking a Distillery Manager to lead the site at Glen Moray Distillery. With the site’s recent expansion, this is a highly varied and dynamic role where you will oversee a team of 24. You will be responsible for distillery & maturation operations, maintenance, and project engineering. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & People Management : Lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and engaging environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. Operations Oversight : Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all distillery processes, including production, maturation, maintenance, and capital projects. Project Delivery : Manage and deliver key capital projects, working closely with teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and performance standards are met. Strategic Focus : Drive continuous improvement, sustainability efforts, and operational excellence to meet both current and future business needs. Broad Scope : You will wear many hats, from managing day-to-day operations to overseeing maintenance and strategic growth initiatives. About You: A brilliant people leader with the ability to lead teams across various disciplines, delivering improved business performance through our people. A strong operational background, ideally within distilling or similar manufacturing, with experience leading multi-functional teams. Comfortable with a broad role, balancing responsibilities across operations, maintenance, and project delivery. A passion for continuous improvement and sustainability, with strong evidence of objectives delivered. An engaging leadership style that fits well with the family-run, autonomous & adaptable culture at Glen Moray. Strong technical knowledge of distillation processes – prior experience as a Distillery Manager is highly desirable.
