Animal Canine Massage Associate & IQA - Remote
Salary: £25 - £30 per hour Contract type: Part-time, Contract Location: Bournemouth, SouthWest BH2
To work within the online learning portal to assess learners' work in line with qualification specifications and awarding body requirements to maximise opportunities for learners enrolled onto our Animal Faculty courses, specifically Canine Massage. You will support the Head of Faculty and team to achieve the required quality targets and contribute to the academic and operational effectiveness of delivery. You will play a vital part in our learner journey and success by being responsive to learner queries to ensure their timely progress and achievement. We welcome applicants with relevant qualifications or experience across any of the three subject areas.
You will hold a UK-recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification and have at least a year's meaningful experience in working within the subject area of animal care and/ or welfare. In addition, you will hold subject specialism qualifications for your chosen subject(s):
1. L4 Canine Massage
Must hold RQF qualifications in Canine Massage or related at Level 4 or above, or substantial demonstrative professional experience of working in canine massage therapy for at least 5years. You must hold an IQA qualification and an Assessor qualification.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
2. Marking of assessments and learner assignment submissions, providing feedback to the learner within 5 working days
3. Provide support to learners by answering their queries, e.g. HubSpot tickets within 3 working days
4. To maintain appropriate subject/expert knowledge in the subject areas for which assessor responsibilities are agreed.
5. Assist in tracking and reporting the progress of learners as required
6. Actively uphold all of the organisation’s policies & procedures, including Safeguarding and Health and Safety and GDPR.
7. Attend, and actively contribute, to standardisation meetings as requested by the Head of Faculty
8. Upholding the organisations Internal Quality Assurance processes, working with awarding bodies
9. Provide support to individual assessors and relevant assessment team(s) with course requirements, delivery methodology and assessment.
10. Reporting on monthly IQA reports
These roles offer flexible working hours, depending on caseload and associate availability. We’re looking for applicants that hold a certificate in the relevant subject specialism, hold a recognised teaching or assessment qualification and have experience of tutoring adult learners. In addition, we are seeking applicants who can also undertake IQA duties too.
We operate a completely flexible remote working model. Working on a self-employed Contract for Services basis, the role involves tutoring students and assessing their work remotely via our online training portal.
Rates of pay vary depending on the course and level.
You will be responsible for organising and managing your own workload whilst maintaining the highest level of standards. Each of our subject areas is faculty driven and as an Associate member of the team you will have direct contact with a Head of Faculty to support you with caseload management, learner queries and assessment processes.
What we are looking for in you:
11. Significant experience in teaching, marking or assessing
12. Experience of successfully managing the Quality Assurance processes for remote team(s) is preferred
13. Extensive knowledge of Animal faculty courses and industry
14. Experience using a CRM would be preferred
15. Experience of quality assurance processes and expectations of those conducting assessments, including an awareness of the key principles of awarding body requirements
16. RQF Qualication in teaching and assessing
17. Subject relevant qualification to Animal industry
18. Substantial evidence of CPD
19. IQA or studying towards one would be an advantage.
20. Natural problem solver, able to reassure learners with queries
21. Ability to work without close supervision
22. Exceptional organisation
23. Ability to give constructive feedback – verbally and in writing
