About the Role
The Trade Marketing is a key support function which tracks and manages all promotional spend and trade investment in line with the annual budget. As the Trade Marketing Executive, you will ensure the appropriate systems, protocols and best practice are in place for the smooth and effective management of trade spend and investment, in line with Refresco UK and customer’s requirement.
As a Trade Marketing Executive here are your key areas of focus:
* You will be reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager and you will take responsibility for the effective management and delivery of the annual Trade Marketing budget for your designated Refresco UK brands portfolio.
* In conjunction with the Sales Team, you will contribute to market intelligence and be accountable for the overall accuracy of the ongoing sales / demand forecast for your brand(s), ensuring that any variances to the forecast are investigated, understood and be accountable for subsequent forecast adjustments.
* You will assist with the annual budget planning: volumes and promotional spends
* You will review and propose trade activity to support brand plans and campaigns and for initiating the sign off process.
* Create cohesive reports for your brand portfolio to assess epos sales, category performance and marketing data. You will use this information to provide insights, ideas and solutions to the wider marketing and commercial team.
* To ensure all budgets are met or exceed within the required timescales, taking remedial action quickly to ensure budgets are delivered.
* Analysis of Category Market data and interpretation to support development and maintenance of the brand portfolio
* You will provide integral support to all members of the Sales and Marketing teams as well as providing support to other internal functions.
About You
You will be a self-starter with the ability to present and lead discussions with confidence. You will have proven ability to work with your own initiative and under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines. You will be able to take responsibility and make decisions whilst managing multiple project tasks to completion.
Key to this role is your willingness to travel on a regular basis, including evenings away from home.
Qualifications
You will ideally be qualified to degree level and you will be familiar with working with category data tools and systems such as Nielsen/DunnHumby/IRI/Kantar.
Experience
You will be a responsible and market driven individual who is committed to developing strong teams, driving volume and profitability, ideally you will have gained this experience in a similar soft drinks market industry.
To succeed in this role, you will have a high level of numeracy and an excellent understanding of excel.
