What we look for:
We are looking for a MuleSoft Engineer to join our Engineering team on a full-time permanent basis and design and develop APIs using MuleSoft technology and also provide maintenance support for existing Mule APIs. This is a hybrid role with two working days in our London office.
What you will be doing:
1. Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex APIs to integrate with Internal and External systems.
2. Production maintenance support to monitor and troubleshoot production issues.
3. Enhancements to existing APIs.
4. Implement new REST or SOAP APIs.
5. Understand the solution and contribute for the optimisations.
6. Participate & contribute to the software engineering community in the selection of API development methods, tools and techniques.
7. Applies agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes.
8. Participates in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work.
What skills and qualities you need to bring:
1. Expertise in Designing and Developing APIs using MuleSoft 4.x version.
2. Expertise in creating/amending API contracts using RAML design.
3. Expertise in implementing medium to complex transformations using Dataweave language.
4. Deep level of knowledge in REST and SOAP APIs.
5. Analytical and Troubleshooting skills to resolve production issues.
6. Basic level understanding of AWS components like EC2, CloudWatch, SQS, DynamoDB etc.
7. API led connectivity architecture.
8. Deep level of knowledge in Integration Design patterns.
9. Previous experience in Production support and enhancements projects.
10. Basic knowledge in Insurance domain preferably in Motor Insurance.
11. Experience in Java 8 and above versions.
12. Monitoring tools like AppDynamics.
13. MCD certification.
The role will require ad-hoc availability during out-of-office hours in case of any production issues or deployments (on call/call out payment scheme in place).
