Electrical Control Engineer – Subsea Power & Control Solutions
Are you an Electrical Control Engineer looking for an exciting role in cutting-edge offshore and subsea technology? We are working with a global leader in the design and manufacture of remotely operated and autonomous power and control systems. They are seeking an Electrical Control Engineer to join their growing team in Wallsend, with a flexible hybrid working model.
About the Role:
You’ll play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of offshore and subsea equipment. Projects involve working on control systems (PLC/SCADA), low voltage power distribution, motor control centres, and network communication systems. You will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to installation, testing, customer acceptance, and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical control systems for offshore and subsea equipment.
Work with PLC/SCADA systems, low voltage power distribution, and motor control centres.
Participate in all project phases, including installation, testing, and customer support.
Ensure compliance with machinery safety standards such as BS EN 60204 and BS EN 13849.
What We're Looking For:
BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with AutoCAD (Inventor is a plus).
Understanding of machinery safety standards (BS EN 60204, BS EN 13849).
Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Experience with automation and machine control systems is desirable (training provided).
