Kynetec is looking for a skilled Project Finance Analyst for a 6-month contract to support several high-impact financial, commercial and operational projects. You will play a critical role in data analysis as we undergo key changes in revenue recognition, implement a new CRM system, optimise procurement processes, and support monthly performance reviews. This position requires a high level of analytical skill, collaboration, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
Job Description
Revenue Recognition Support:
* Assist in implementing changes in Revenue & Cost of Sales recognition policies to a SaaS model
* Analyse financial implications of recognition changes and prepare analysis for stakeholders
* Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure accurate historic restatements (including KPIs)
Systems Implementation Support:
* Partner with project management to manage financial aspects of the CRM implementation (HubSpot)
* Partner with project management and external vendors to manage the financial aspects of a BI System migration from ThoughtSpot to Sigma (& Power BI)
* Partner with project management to assist with the rollout of revenue recognition in NetSuite
Procurement Optimisation:
* Analyse and track spending patterns to support procurement optimisation efforts
* Develop cost-saving projections and provide financial insights to the procurement team
* Support the implementation of procurement strategies to improve financial efficiency and cost management
Monthly Performance Meetings:
* Prepare and analyse monthly financial performance reports for key stakeholders
* Highlight financial trends, identify performance gaps, and provide actionable insights for decision-making
* Prepare an automated data pack template for monthly reviews
Other Support:
* Partner with the Business Partnering & FP&A teams to conduct ad hoc analysis
* Assist with the improvement, development and roll-out of financial commercial and operational KPIs
Skills required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, or related roles. Experience in supporting project finances, dealing with large datasets, including data cleansing is highly desirable
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial analysis software, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, financial modelling), and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Organisational Skills: Strong time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
SaaS Experience: Prior experience in changing revenue recognition to a SaaS model
Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well independently
