Artemis Human Capital is thrilled to have partnered with an expanding construction business seeking a Financial Controller to undertake a pivotal role within the group. The successful Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal policies and procedures.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ambitious finance professional offering progression to FInance Director within 18-24 months.
The Role:
* Day to day management of the finance function
* Preparation of monthly management accounts highlighting key issues and making recommendations
* Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
* Cash flow management
* Preparation of monthly board packs and commentary
* Identifying improvements for accounting systems and processes
* Business partnering with wider business areas
* Report to the MD with timely and accurate financial information, including an understanding of WIP
* Analysing operational costs and identify areas for improvement
* Perform month-end and year-end close activities
The Person:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Previous experience within construction, engineering or manufacturing is ESSENTIAL
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with the wider business
* Strong understanding of cost accounting
* Ability to present financial information to board level
