About The Job
Salary: £26,409 to £27,711 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time - 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm)
Location: Based in Chichester - hybrid working available and will be discussed further at interview.
You will be providing self-directed and proactive, confidential professional business and administrative support. This will include directly supporting the work of social workers by updating databases, attending complex meetings to produce written records, and providing support to senior leaders to enable them to deliver their strategic objectives and key outcomes.
By providing professional business and administrative support you will be making a difference to the work of Children, Young People and Learning Directorate and enhancing the effectiveness of the whole team. More information can be found in the job description attached.
Experience and Skills
Just a few key skills you will need include:
1. Work independently, confidently, flexibly and in close partnership with others in the Directorate and wider organisation.
2. Good time management to manage short deadlines and conflicting priorities.
3. Excellent Word and Excel skills, and the ability to concentrate over long periods of time to take accurate and comprehensive notes during meetings on complex and sensitive subjects.
4. Resilience and excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with vulnerable individuals or those with complex problems, and occasional challenging behaviours from those accessing the service.
5. Handle information with sensitivity and confidentiality.
6. GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualification or experience operating at this level of literacy and numeracy.
7. Recognised qualification in office skills or administration, or a business-related subject at level 2 or 3 of the national qualifications framework, or have acquired equivalent experience within the workplace.
