£150 - £180 Per day
Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students.
2. Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans following the national guidelines.
3. Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
4. Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
5. Supervise practical cooking sessions and ensure health and safety standards are met.
Required Qualifications:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
7. Degree in Food Technology or related field.
8. Knowledge of the national curriculum for food technology.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Degree in Food Technology or related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching food technology is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
10. Understanding of food safety and hygiene practises.
11. Ability to inspire and engage students in practical cooking activities.
12. Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
13. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Food Technology.
14. Experience working with diverse student populations.
Working Conditions:
15. Full-time position with standard school hours.
16. Classroom-based teaching with some practical cooking sessions.
17. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in school events.
