The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing highly developed specialist psychological assessments of clients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuro psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members, and others involved in the client's care.
2. Formulating and implementing plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client's mental and/or health problems based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client's problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy, across the full range of care settings.
3. Ensuring that all members of the wider clinical team have access to a psychologically based framework for the understanding and care of clients of the service, through the provision of advice and consultation and the dissemination of psychological knowledge, research, and theory.

The selection at sift stage will be based on your CV. At interview, you will be tested against the following Framework: Changing and improving, Making effective decisions, Leadership, Working together, Managing a quality service, Delivery at pace. At interview, you will also be asked to give a 10-minute presentation on a topic to be advised. Interview location and date to be confirmed.

As a result of the changes to the UK immigration rules which came into effect on 1 January 2021, the Ministry of Defence will only offer sponsorship for a skilled worker visa under the points-based system, where a role has been deemed to be business critical. There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.
