Job summary
An exciting opportunity hasarisen to be part of the nursing team at St. Rocco's Hospice. We are looking to recruit a part time nurse for our In-Patient Unit, with an opportunity to work across allclinical departments, including the outreach services.
The successful applicant should be an enthusiastic nurse who strives to deliver a high standard of quality care and is able to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Please specify in your application your preferred working pattern/ hours. Hours will be worked between Mon toSun, including days, nights, evenings and weekends, on a rota system, following discussion and agreement with your line manager.

Hours worked at the following times will be paid as follows: Monday to Friday from 8pm until 8am - £ per hour, Saturday - £ per hour, Sunday and Bank Holiday - £ per hour - T&Cs apply. Shift patterns will be discussed at interview, breaks are unpaid.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Ward Manager, Clinical Lead for IPU the main purpose of this role is to provide the highest standard of physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for patients, their relatives and friends. You will use your expertise to the highest standards in order to meet all the requirements of our clinical governance.
Applicants must be on the NMC register and be fully qualified RGN / Adults. In addition to your proven clinical skills, we are looking for excellent communication skills, empathy and sensitivity, good team working and a flexible approach to the role.

Tosupport the Ward Manager where required with the development and delivery of the strategicbusiness plan objectives aligned to the strategy of the hospice. To participate in clinical effectiveness initiatives and development of policydocuments/protocols/pathways etc and ensure implementation as appropriate. To work under the direction of the Ward Manager to support the co-ordination, development andmanagement of the units nursing service offered at St. Rocco's Hospice. To work under the direction of the Ward Manager to ensure that the climate of the service isconducive to patients/relatives spiritual, psychological and physical well being.
