Location: Office base is London Broadcasting House (this is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working)

Do you want to help make some of the most innovative, fun content at the BBC?
The Content Producer for the Youth Audiences team is an exciting role helping to amplify the best of the BBC’s content across cutting-edge social media and interactive platforms that are popular with 16-24 audiences. In particular, this will focus on transmedia and interactive digital content, such as gaming, filters, gen-AI and live video.
The Youth Audiences team offers audiences thrilling, interactive, innovative content by working with emerging platforms and technologies. We want to connect to younger audiences where they are, helping them discover the breadth of what the BBC offers; from world-class interactive and digital experiences to our well-loved programmes and characters.
Gaming is a vital part of the role, with experience and knowledge of both Roblox and Fortnite particularly desirable. The Youth Audiences team has recently launched content via Roblox (BBC Wonder Chase) and Fortnite (Wrecked) - and we’re now working on more exciting projects with other emerging platforms.
Bold innovations on social media are key part of our remit, we are looking for a digital native that can execute campaigns and content that resonates with audiences. We are the home of BBC Creator Lab with TikTok and the social media spin-off Eastenders Spiked.
Working to promote the BBC’s biggest and most exciting shows, our aim is to bring in new fans and boost the experiences of existing ones by creating engaging, interactive content that is bold, creative and fun to any 16-24 year old.
Main Responsibilities
You will help execute on major innovation projects across gaming, social media and Gen-AI. This will involve working with external suppliers and feeding back across projects.
You will provide planning and project management support to ensure projects are running according to schedule.
You will create promotional assets and plans to support activations, making the most of the BBC’s large digital and social media reach as well as off-platform marketing opportunities.
You will research and develop exciting new ideas and executions.
You will use data and analytics to inform decisions at planning stage as well as reactively once projects are underway.
Are you the right person?
- Experience in working on social/digital platforms for entertainment content.
- Expertise in creatively using new technologies - such as AR filters, gaming, artificial intelligence - to scale audiences
- Experience working with social media creators, including briefing and content creation.
- Experience working on projects that have competing deadlines and different stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Competent Photoshop and design skills. Video editing desirable.
- You must be a data-led person, who enjoys using analytics tools to inform decisions.
