A small multi-academy trust focused on improving SEND provisions in the South West, offering tailored, specialist education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant.
If you’re passionate about making a difference, we have openings for Learning Support Assistants to work alongside teachers, supporting individual students or groups.
About the role:
* 35 hours per week
* 39 weeks per year
* A salary range of £22,231-£23,800 p.a.
Your responsibilities will be to:
* Assist students with SEND in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning goals through one-to-one or group support.
* Help students build confidence and independence in their learning.
* Work with teachers to deliver and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
* Assist students with emotional or behavioral challenges to engage positively in learning.
* Support teachers in managing classroom activities and preparing materials.
* Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers for tailored support.
* Help students improve communication and social interaction skills.
* Support students' physical and emotional needs, including personal care when required.
* Work with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support.
* Promote a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere for all students.
The successful applicants will have:
* A good understanding of the EYFS, KS1, KS2 or KS3 curriculum.
* At least one years’ experience of working in a learning/childcare setting.
* A flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment
* Effective communication with colleagues
* Skills of empathy, listening, communication and the ability to respond to unexpressed need
* Willingness to undertake the further training that will be offered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
