IT Technician required. My client is a successful IT firm delivering IT & Network Support to businesses across the South East for over 20 years, providing the best managed IT services and support to customers in multiple sectors including retail, financial services, recruitment, legal services and manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an IT Technician to join their team in Horsham to meet the demands of their clients.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the technical team providing onsite support where necessary and you will be given many opportunities to get involved with a range of IT projects. You will be working with a wide range of technologies, including PC & Mac, in a dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation with many opportunities for career progression. You will need a driving license for this role as you will be travelling to customer sites.
Position Overview
1. Providing the best onsite support to dynamic & successful businesses across the South East
2. Workshop builds
3. Build, setup and deploy Hardware & Software’s
4. Network Troubleshooting
5. Support the technical team to resolve issues onsite and complete onsite installations at customer premises
6. Ensure helpdesk tickets are resolved in a timely manner to meet our SLA targets
7. Participate as a project resource as and when required
Position Requirements
8. Full clean driving license with your own transport – essential
9. Active Directory & Group Policy
10. Windows Server 2008 R2/2012/Windows 7,8 & 10
11. VMWare, HyperV knowledge
12. Mac Skills – Beneficial
13. Email security products e.g Mimecast/MessageLabs
14. Networking knowledge covering LAN & WAN Technologies
15. Firewall, Draytek, Cisco & Remote Access Applications
16. DELL & HP Server & SAN Hardware
17. Good knowledge of GPO Deployment and configuration
18. Excellent communication and customer handling skills
19. Target focused, proactive and eager to improve processes
Position Remuneration
20. Monday to Friday 8:30am – 17:00pm
21. Salary £25,000 – 35,000 DOE
22. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
23. Use of company vehicle for site visits in South East Area
