Exciting Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant of Special Educational Needs
Join us as a Teaching Assistant at a SEND school located in Leeds. Starting as soon as possible, you'll work alongside dedicated educators, shaping the learning journey for all students.
We are looking for an SEN TA with experience in classroom support as well as experience of working with additional learning needs like Autism. Familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum, an understanding of child development and learning, excellent communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and dedication to promoting equal opportunities are the key qualities we seek in a TA.
You will be supporting students aged 3 to 19 years of age who all have additional learning needs, all students have an autism diagnosis as well as other learning needs.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Ensuring student safety and facilitating access to learning activities.
Contributing to education and behaviour plans.
Encouraging inclusivity and embracing diversity.
Setting high expectations for student achievement.
Providing feedback on student progress.
Upholding child protection policies.
Assisting with supervision outside of class.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous experience in teaching support.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Right to work in the UK.
