About the role
This role will be at the forefront of creating products that transform how automotive companies leverage data to guide and optimise their customer and operational strategy to drive value.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy and execution of CitNOW Group’s current and future data products through identifying customer needs, analysing competitive positioning and driving effective, agile implementation to generate measurable results.
This is a key role that will require a balance of customer-centric thinking, data expertise, regulatory understanding and cross-functional execution.
Key responsibilities include:
* Work closely with customers and prospects to gain deep insight into their business challenges, data needs and desired outcomes to continue to refine the product value proposition
* Assess competitor offerings and capabilities to identify how CitNOW Group can offer best-in-class data products
* Work closely with the Compliance Team to assess the compliance and regulatory landscape to ensure data products will comply with appropriate standards (e.g., GDPR), and stay ahead of any regulatory changes which could impact CitNOW’ Group’s data product approach
* Anticipate and mitigate risks related to data governance, privacy and security, ensuring compliance is an integral part of the product development process
* Define a differentiated data product strategy that solves key customer pain points through leveraging CitNOW Group platforms and other sources of data
* Identify and develop commercial relationships with other data sources as appropriate, and manage timely integration
* Build and manage a product roadmap that focuses on addressing real-world customer problems, while balancing the ability to deliver quickly through appropriately scoped MVPs and beyond
* Work cross-functionally (engineering, infrastructure, compliance, marketing, sales and others) to lead the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch
* Define the commercial proposition, including pricing, positioning and supporting sales strategies
* Define and manage against appropriate commercial, customer and delivery KPIs
* Lead the ongoing assessment of competitive offerings, adjusting the roadmap or commercial proposition as appropriate
We are looking for:
* 5+ years in product management, with a proven track record of defining and delivering successful data products
* Deep experience understanding customer needs and translating them into products and features that deliver tangible customer value
* Experience of rapidly assessing a new industry and new target customer needs and translating them into an actionable product strategy with clear deliverables, milestones and KPIs
* Proven ability to execute new products across a collaborative cross-functional environment
* Familiarity with data management tools and data visualisation technologies
* Proven people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and empower teams
