Job Description
Real Estate Senior Associate /Director, Belfast, 6 yrs + PQE. Our client is a top National law firm with a high profile Real Estate team. They are seeking to recruit a Senior Associate or Director (6PQE+) to be based in their Belfast office.
Ideally, candidates will have gained a broad range of post-qualified Real Estate experience and we would also consider candidates with more than 6 years plus PQE – ideally in sales and acquisitions, commercial lettings, landlord and tenant issues, property development and real estate finance.
The Department
Their Real Estate team to deal with all aspects of real estate legal issues, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management, development (including regeneration projects) and the creation and treatment of all kinds of investments. They act for landowners, occupiers, developers, funders, contractors and professionals across the sector. They also work with landlords and tenants within the institutional, corporate, retail and public sectors.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a drive to succeed, and an enthusiasm to engage with clients. It is important that the successful candidate has the ability to work as part of a team in addition to being confident working under his/ her own initiative. We are also seeking candidates with confidence in terms of presentation skills and client contact, and a real desire to develop their career.
Person Specification:
1. Excellent drafting skills and first-rate technical knowledge are a pre-requisite for this role.
2. The ability to manage key accounts to support the client partner would make this individual stand out. Strong interpersonal skills are a prerequisite.
3. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a drive to succeed, an enthusiasm to engage with clients and an interest in the NI/Belfast property market.
4. Dual qualified within the UK/Rep of Ireland would be an advantage for the role.
Main Duties:
5. Achieve time recording targets split between chargeable and investment time in any one financial year.
6. Achieve individual financial targets in line with sales plan.
7. Understand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
8. Analyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externally.
9. Prioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practices.
10. Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs.
11. Develop increased levels of technical and commercial knowledge via training or supervised working practices.
