An Operations or Departmental Manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives as part of the delivery of the organization's strategy. They are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Working in the private, public, or third sector and in organizations of all sizes, specific responsibilities and job titles will vary, but the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed will be the same. Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching, and mentoring.
Entry Requirements
* Applicants must be in a position of managing managers or supervisors or in a senior role taking responsibility for an operation within a business.
* GCSE grades of 4 or above in Maths and English.
* Applicants should have a suitable employer or be actively looking for an employer.

Training to be Provided
1-2-1 teaching and observations; a training specialist will coach, teach, and support the apprentice at the workplace on a one-to-one basis, visiting at regular and agreed intervals. Face-to-face teaching as a group; block delivery throughout the year with other apprentices in the area. The teaching location will be at a central point for those on the apprenticeship in the area. Tutorials; apprentices will be offered regular 1-2-1 tutorial time remotely with their specialist trainer. E-learning; we provide an e-learning platform with work and activities for apprentices to complete.
