Description and requirements
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Services commercial team in Tewkesbury.
The purpose of the role is to successfully manage the MEP project finances and contractual obligations internally and externally, including all subcontract packages as a member of the project team within prescribed financial margins of the project to the satisfaction of internal and external clients and within the company’s financial targets.
You’ll:
1. Undertake all responsibilities in line with company policies and IMS procedures. This includes adhering to the Code of Conduct, Contract Performance Procedure, Project Review Management Guidelines, Risk and Opportunity Management Guidelines, Design Management Guidelines and Project Close out Guidelines.
2. Ensure that the obligations and responsibilities of the Project and other stakeholders are properly fulfilled
3. Monitor and manage the scope, notices, terms and conditions of the Contract
4. Monitor and manage the contract procedures, payments, variations together with contract entitlements
5. Monitor and manage dispute management procedures
What you'll bring to the role:
6. Experience of running MEP projects or No 2 position on large MEP projects
7. Previous experience at QS level running significant multiple subcontract packages £5-10M+Good working knowledge of contract/commercial law
8. Experience with Design and Build forms of contract
9. Relevant CSCS Card
10. SMSTS
11. Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject
