The Business Development Manager is accountable for identifying and driving new business across the South Midlands region. You will work closely with the Regional General Managers and Depot Managers to explore new commercial tendering opportunities and grow the business through acquisition and improvement opportunities to a set quarterly/annual target.

1. Explore, identify and manage new business tendering opportunities in order to secure and grow the business.
2. Proactively sell profitable new business within the region to achieve and exceed quarterly/annual new business targets.
3. Manage sales territory and prospecting lists for business opportunities.
4. Report call, lead, quote and contract activity on to the Company Operating System.
5. Produce and present weekly, monthly and quarterly personal performance to Head of Major Sales.
Our essential requirements
1. Over 3 years’ experience in a comparable field-based B2B business development role
2. Proven track record in sales, selling contracted services worth a minimum of £100,000 per annum
3. A charismatic communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
