Specialist Podiatrist - Permanent - full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Specialist Podiatrist to join Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP). We have 37.5 hours available and are open to applicants who prefer to work full-time, part-time, or flexible working within an 8am-5pm working day.
CCICP Podiatry mainly operates as a woundcare service, and also has opportunities for Nail surgery and MSK Podiatry. We have an apprenticeship programme and support Podiatry students.
Work Base: You will be based mostly in our Crewe, Nantwich and SMASH locations and domiciliary visits make up part of this role. You may be required to travel to different settings across the trust's geographical footprint.
CCICP supports staff and service development and prioritises the wellbeing of its staff with excellent access to resources and support.
Main duties of the job
1. To act as a Clinical Specialist in the Podiatry Service, to undertake triage, assessment, and treatment of referred patients.
2. To support the Team Manager and Advanced Clinical Specialists in the day-to-day running of the clinics and to assist in service improvement initiatives in their area of work.
3. To support the education and development of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, Podiatry Apprentices, and external Podiatry students on placement.

Job responsibilities
1. To work autonomously to manage a defined complex patient caseload whilst working as part of a team.
2. To contribute to the delivery of the service in a variety of defined clinical settings, which may include community clinics and the patients home.
3. To undertake specialist clinical assessment, taking into account all relevant information and clinical reasoning to formulate evidence-based individualised treatment plans in agreement with the patient.
4. To monitor progress and review treatment plans and interventions to facilitate the achievement of goals.
5. To provide appropriate oral and written information for patients and carers where relevant.
6. To maintain accurate documentation in line with professional standards, and local policies and procedures.
7. To provide accurate and timely written information and reports to referring agents and other agencies where appropriate.
8. To ensure the safe and timely discharge of patients from the caseload, liaising with other agencies as required.

Qualifications
* Podiatry Professional degree/ diploma
* HCPC registration
* Clinical educator training
* Degree level Post graduate education relevant to specialist area/ or be working towards this
* Be prepared to work towards degree level post graduate education relevant to specialist area
* NHS information Governance certificate
* Membership of Relevant Professional Body

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year pro rata per annum
