Join the Central Engineering Software Operations team as a Principal Project Manager where you will lead delivery of production software projects that help our partners build energy-efficient Arm-powered products. To be considered for this senior role, you will have an extensive track record of leading teams who deliver and maintain product-quality software/ firmware, providing customer support, and run supplier management. This experience may have been gained whilst a Project Manager, but also as a Product Owner, or Release Manager. Excellent interpersonal skills are a requirement, as is displaying confident leadership and a dedication to engage teams and partners to drive your projects through to success.
Responsibilities:
1. Own and drive planning, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and reporting for your projects.
2. Connect with external suppliers and work with internal Legal and Licensing functions to secure their approvals and ensure compliance with Arm policies.
3. Be a point of contact for customers and run a support process to maximise customer satisfaction with software releases.
4. Motivate and drive teams to deliver to commitments.
5. Ensure project governance, and proactively drive project risks, change and dependencies to conclusion.
6. Have strong organisational skills, a can-do approach and be a collaborative member of the team, working with engineering, product management and other functions.
7. Intentionally engage to develop and improve our processes and practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
8. Leading engineering project delivery teams for production software/ firmware preferably in an Agile or iterative environment.
9. Supplier management and customer support management.
10. Strong communication and networking skills to be able to influence and collaborate with engineering teams, peers, senior management, and Arm suppliers and partners.
11. A positive, can-do behaviour which is adaptive to change, resilient and eager to accept new challenges within a fast-paced high-tech environment.
12. Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams and partners.
13. Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle, and of Project and Product Lifecycles.
14. Proficient in the application of standard Microsoft Office tools.
'Nice to Have’ Skills & Experience
15. Familiarity with software licensing considerations and support and maintenance service level agreements.
16. Exposure to release engineering and version-control branching approaches to harden, tune and deliver production software/ firmware to multiple customers.
17. Exposure to Open-Source Software.
18. Usage of supporting tools commonly used in Arm project management, Jira, Confluence, MS Project.
