Job summary
Wehave an exciting opportunity for a clinical or counselling psychologist toundertake a development post from 8a to 8b working in our neuropsychologicalpathways in Worcestershire. This would include working across a range ofconditions including ABI and neurodegenerative disease. The post is up to 4days. They will support the development of a matched care approach with an emphasis onmulti-disciplinary working and psychological consultation. They will be experiencedin the use and interpretation of neuropsychological and psychologicalassessments, MDT working, specialist delivery of psychological, vocational andneuropsychological interventions as well as supervision, consultation, teachingand training. Thepsychology team is very supportive and has lots of development opportunities. Main duties of the job
1. Providing neuropsychological assessments and interventionsfor people with acquired and neurodegenerative brain injury, including FND, and their families and contributing to aculture of support and collaboration both in the service and with partner. Interventions may involve family members andcarers and include liaison and consultation.
2. Active contribution to MDTs: providing casediscussion and care planning with an emphasis on sharing biopsychosocialformulations and evidence based interventions
3. Contributing to audit, research and servicedevelopment
4. Providing formal and adhoc supervision toother staff, including trainees as well as providing teaching and learningopportunities.
5. Providing clinicalexpertise and leadership in the psychological and cognitive needs of peoplefollowing a stroke and ABI and their families and contributing to a culture ofsupport and collaboration both in the service and with partner agencies.

Qualifications
Essential
6. BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in psychology
7. Post graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
8. Post qualification training in specific, evidence based techniques for use with clients with complex psychological presentations and/or physical health difficulties, across the age span
9. Evidence of regular further professional training and experience as required by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the BPS
10. Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
11. Eligible for registration as a Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology
12. Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
13. I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
Experience
Essential
14. Experience required specific to the role and clinical area
15. A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist within the relevant area
16. Sufficient training and experience to be recognised by the Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology as a suitably qualified psychologist to offer clinical placements to trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologists
17. Training and experience in the application of psychological knowledge within a number of different specialties
18. Experience of assessing and providing a wide range of psychological interventions to patients presenting with the full degree of clinical severity and across a range of clinical mental health presentations
19. Experience of conducting clinically relevant research

20. Experience of strategic planning and service development
21. Experience of teaching and training psychologists in a Clinical/Counselling Psychology doctorate training course
22. Experience of leading in relation to the development and organisation of psychological interventions within a given clinical area
