Astute are working on behalf of a leading operator of Energy from Waste plants to find a Fuel Quality Manager to join on of their newest power stations.
The Energy from Waste site in the Leicestershire area has a capacity to process 350,000 tonnes of waste per year, generating 42MW of power for the surrounding area.
As a Fuel Quality Manager, you will be part of the team playing an integral part in ensuring that the waste / fuel supply complies with the specification of the Fuel Supply Agreement. This role will also cover their site in Cheshire, which is currently under construction.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the General Manager, typical duties will include:
Overseeing the day to day obligations within the Fuel Supply Agreements.
Carrying out supplier visits, audits & inspections.
Supporting the Operations Team on the EFW to monitor waste quality, monitoring and reporting non-confirming waste / fuel.
Monitoring of samples to ensure compliance against Calorific Value and REGOs.
Coordinating & supporting the O&M teams fuel delivery schedule.
Managing logistics & diversions when plant is offline or fuel is of substandard quality.
Supporting Fuel Supply Manager with contract management which includes variations, price increases, reconciliations and contract renewals.
