Broadcast Solution Architect / Sales Engineer / Senior Broadcast Engineer

Our obsession with quality, performance, and network resilience, has allowed us to deliver services for companies including Amazon Prime, Warner Brothers Discovery, and ATP Media, where we are trusted to carry the live TV signals destined for their global TV audiences.
Cingularity was acquired by IMG Media in September 2022 to provide the expertise to guide IMG’s evolution towards a fibre based contribution and distribution model.
The Role
Cingularity is seeking Solutions Engineers from either telecommunication or broadcast backgrounds to join the team to pave the way during our development and expansion over the coming years. You will play a crucial part in Cingularity’s growth, ensuring the client uptake in Cingularity solutions. You will be actively involved from client engagement until project initiation. You will aid company growth and utilise your knowledge to shape customer solutions.
Identifying the technical requirements and designing specific solutions for both event based and permanent services for prospective and current customers will be your primary responsibility. You will work with your counterparts in the sales team and directly with various accounts, while engaging with Cingularity’s engineering and operations team to ensure success.
The position is a hybrid role, where your time can be split between the office and home. Our primary office is located at 28 Hanbury Street, London, E1 6QR.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and design appropriate solutions in line with Cingularity's offerings by working with the customer, the sales team, and the engineering team to exceed customer expectations.
2. Develop revenue-generating solutions that align with customers' requirements and delivery timelines
3. Grow and maintain healthy customer relationships, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of the customer's business and allowing you to assist in their technology strategy.
4. Document solutions, including technical documentation, solution diagrams and drawings, used for both the end customer and internal teams.
5. Regular engagement with suppliers and vendors for proposals, quoting, and final bill of materials.
6. Be the technical point of contact for all technical questions, contribute to RFI/RFP responses, and assist with creating white papers.
7. Ensure the sales team is technically supported throughout the sales cycle while taking ownership of solution design.
8. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure that all solutions are supportable.
9. Assist in solution and service project initiation to ensure success and assist with further documentation of bespoke customer solutions working alongside project management as required.
Technical Knowledge and Experience
10. Experience in designing solutions in one or more of the following technology domainsGlobal TelecommunicationsVideo IP delivery and Data Transmission - Contribution and DistributionBroadcast services, Sports, and Event Broadcasting
11. An excellent working knowledge of telecommunications service providers' products, technologies, markets, and business models.
12. Demonstrated ability to work with highly technical solutions, comprehend customer requirements, and document those requirements.
13. Expertise in video media processing (encoding/decoding) with a solid understanding of industry standard codecs, including MPEG, JPEG 2000, and JPEG XS.
14. Familiarity with transmission and monitoring equipment usage, including encoders, decoders, video routers, DAs, IP gateways, multiviewers, and transport stream monitoring
15. Knowledge of the Net Insight portfolio, including experience on the MSR platform, is highly advantageous.
16. A working knowledge of Broadcast environments, workflows, and Broadcast IP technologies, including SMTPE standards, switching, routing, and multicast.
17. Ability to use Microsoft Visio or CAD applications for solution design.
18. Experience in Office 365 or G-Suite, with excellent working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
19. 4+ Years working as a Sales Engineer or similar, ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent experience.
