Customer Services Representative

World leading, Hampshire based manufacturer is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join its growing Customer Services team based in Southampton, as part of a 12-month fixed term contract.
Qioptiq Photonics Limited (An Excelitas Technologies Company) is a leading global supplier of opto-electronics and photonic products present in a variety of markets from medical and biotechnology to semiconductor and industrial markets, based in Hamble, Hampshire.
The successful applicant will be part of a small team, working to drive the customer’s needs and enquiries in order to ensure on-time delivery performance is managed to a high standard by working with multiple teams within the organization both in UK and with our sister locations throughout the world.
You will be required to develop and grow relationships with regular customer contacts to build credibility and trust whilst ensuring accurate information is provided to key individual both internally and externally.
Main Responsibilities:
• Providing back office support for the Hamble Customer Services team
• Daily contact with the team to support in day-to-day needs
• Preparation of quotes in ERP system based on requirements
• Accurate and timely order processing in ERP system
• Assisting shipping department on deliveries
• Sort out incoming order and forward to responsible team member
The successful candidate will possess the following:
1. Experience in administration work
2. Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
3. Process-oriented operations
4. Self-motivated with a strong commercial mindset
5. Desirable experience in manufacturing and experience working with SAP
