Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Documented evidence of recent Relevant Continuing Professional Development
* HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
* Fieldwork Education qualification/training
* Evidence of post registration training in Mental Health
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant post registration experience as an Occupational Therapist
* Relevant clinical experience working in Mental Health, including experience in Older Adults and Dementia Care.
* Experience of working autonomously and able to set own priorities in a demanding environment
* Experience of effective multi-disciplinary team working
Desirable criteria
* Experience working in a community setting
Skills and abilities
Essential criteria
* Effective Communication, liaison and negotiation skills
* Good knowledge of mental health legislation, policy and current best practice, and demonstration and understanding of the implications for Occupational Therapy
