Hays Senior Finance are working with a £25m t/o subsidiary of a global business who are looking for a Management Accountant due to business expansion. This profitablepany has been established in the Warrington area for over 15 years and has a broad range of corporate customers across nearly all sectors.
The Management Accountant plays a crucial role within the Finance Department, overseeing various financial tasks essential to thepany's operations and financial health. This role involves preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts, forecasts and periodic KPIs to stringent group deadlines and maintaining schedules and reconciliations to support goodernance and both Internal and External Audits.
You will be responsible for ensuringpliance with financial regulations including submitting legal and regulatory returns on time ( VAT). Collaboration with internal and external contacts is essential to achieve financial objectives and support thepany's growth. The Management Accountant will help to maintain a rigorous control environment through reviewing and improving current reporting processes and procedures. They are also proactive in identifying where day to day work practices or templates can be improved or streamlined to allow more time for value-add work. They also contribute to the production of the annual three-year strategy plan and budget presentations, providing both financial and non-financialmentary. Looking to the future they will be integral to the success of future projects such as uing ERP upgrades and introduction of BI software and providing improved reporting and analysis of key balances such as inventory.
Job Description
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasts
2. Reporting Actual and Forecast results of UK and overseas entity to Group System
3. Preparation of KPIs on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
4. Maintenance of appropriate schedules and ensuring that they are available to support both External and Internal Auditors
5. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including regular bank reconciliations
6. Cash flow and aged debtor forecasts
7. Preparation of VAT and other similar regulatory returns
8. Working with internal and external contacts to achieve results
9. Assist in maintaining the control environment
10. Review and improve current reporting processes and templates
11. Assist in the production of the annual three-year strategy plan and budget presentations including financial and non-financialmentary
12. Preparing and providing ad hoc reports as required
13. Other duties as reasonably required by thepany
This role is ideal for a newly qualified or senior part qualified accountant. We are also keen to speak to qualified by experienced candidates. The business is a flexible employer offering two days a week working from home and a 1pm finish on a Friday. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
