Are you a competent and multiskilled Maintenance professional looking for a new challenge?
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor responsible for managing a team of Maintenance Operatives, carrying out maintenance activities, checking standards of maintenance and reactive work while coaching team members as required, delivering high levels of craftsmanship and job reporting.
Whilst supporting the Maintenance Operatives you will also run a caseload of your own across a defined region.
We are looking for someone who has supervisory experience and is happy to cover the Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and South Yorkshire area.

Key Responsibilities
• Line management of the Maintenance Operatives.
• Conduct teams meetings, supervisions and
appraisals for your direct reports.
• Ensure sickness, holidays and training is up to date and recorded.
• Conduct observations and coaching with the team to identify areas of training and development.
• Ensure monthly Payroll information is gathered and communicated according to the monthly deadlines.
• Sourcing and managing quotations in conjunction with the Head of Estates.
• Ensuring all works are risk assessed and compliance documents completed as required by team members.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
• Previous supervisory experience desirable.
• Can work both independently and as part of the wider team to achieve key business objectives.
• Will have excellent communication skills, in order to liaise effectively with all levels of the organisation.
• Proactively monitor the FM system and organise resource as required in order to complete jobs within SLA’s.
• Able to produce and communicate plans to show progression on when works will be completed.
• Has a solution-focused, flexible, can-do attitude so that issues are dealt with promptly.
• Is computer literate and able to operate existing systems and hardware to a high level, as well as being able to coach others as required.
• Will have experience in all aspects of light maintenance and be able to carry out this work to a high standard to provide an efficient and comprehensive maintenance service to our homes. This includes:
o plastering, painting and decorating,
o working knowledge of basic plumbing,
o experienced in the safe use of powered hand and bench tools,
o able to hang fire doors to the correct clearances.
• Able to coach others in order to raise their skill levels in the essential areas of maintenance as part of their ongoing development.
• A full driving license is essential, along with flexibility to travel across our homes as required.
