We have afull-time developmental band 5-6 nurse opportunity, which is an excitingposition for a Community Mental Health nurse, however we would also welcome andconsider part time applicants. Thisdevelopment role in underpinned by a supportive competency-based framework tohelp build both your experience and competence in becoming a band 6practitioner. We welcome newly qualified band 5 mental health nurse, or a nurse with inpatientexperience who would like to develop their expertise in acommunity mental health setting.

Main duties of the job
1. Thesuccessful candidate will work as a key member and resource of the MDT coreteam.
2. Youwill hold a blended caseload of common mental health disorders and severemental illness patients however your caseload will reflect your stage ofclinical development, with opportunity to build on your skills and consideryour specialist areas of interest.
3. Workingflexibly to provide the service delivery need across the county.
4. Attendingweekly MDT meetings, participate in professionals meetings, signpost toadjunct services depending on patient need.
5. Supportand guidance to the carers of patients accessing the services.

14. Work across all clinicallyappropriate patients, 17-years-old and over, to deliver evidence-basedinterventions.
15. Under the direction of ServiceLead and as part of the Community Mental Health Service, provide prompt localassessment, triage, risk assessment, risk management, signposting, onwardreferral and evidence-based interventions for people presenting with mentalhealth problems.
16. Provide apresence for consultation for all primary care and VCS staff.
17. Represent theteam on specific projects and working groups as required.
