Are you a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in a Year 6 classroom?
We are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or above) to support a Year 6 class until the end of the academic year in July 2025.
Position: Year 6 Teaching Assistant.
Location: Derby, DE23.
Start date: 4th November 2024.
Contract type: Full-Time until July 2025.
Key responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering lessons across the year 6 curriculum.
- Provide one-to-one and group assistance to students, to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide one-to-one or small group sessions on the lead up to SATS.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and parents.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a relevant Childcare based qualification (Level 2, Level 3, HLTA or equivalent).
- Enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service.
- Experience in a primary school setting (KS2 / Year 6 is highly desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to the safeguarding and development of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
