CGI is hiring a Storage Engineer position for one of our key critical IT infrastructure programmes, employing over of our UK consultants, is looking for recruits to join their Cheltenham based teams developing truly Enterprise scale virtualised infrastructure solutions. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance (DV). This role will be based in the Gloucester office 5 days a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Our programme is seeking storage engineers with knowledge of file, block, and backup storage solutions.
You will be working as a member of the storage team, involved in the following duties:
- Collaboration with clients to understand requirements, and design costed solutions
- Management, maintenance, and support of enterprise scale data storage solutions
- Plan, coordinate and upgrade storage components with software and hardware upgrades, collaborating with vendors as needed
- Manage storage provisioning tasks from user requests, through the creation of volumes, mapping and ensuring storage availability at the operating system
- Carry out storage performance analysis and capacity management

- EMC Data Domain
- Veritas NetBackup
