Job Purpose & Main Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking to recruit a full-time float Ward Clerk (37.5 Hours p/w – Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 16:00 TBC). The role of the Float Ward Clerk is vital to the BRHC as you will play an important role in ensuring high standards of administrative governance on a variety of our inpatient wards. You will be required to be the first point of contact on the ward(s), so a friendly and welcoming demeanour and calmness under pressure are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Acting as the patient’s first point of contact on the ward(s).
2. Greeting and signposting patients and relatives.
3. Processing patients using CareFlow.
4. Liaising with colleagues to facilitate a smooth and timely stay with the hospital.
5. Sending out patient information.
6. Sorting and distributing post.
7. Maintaining paper and electronic records.
You will be responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust’s core values at all times.
