About Our Client
Client is an SME operating on the outskirts of Hailsham. The role is largely a standalone position in the Accounts function, supporting the business in other areas of Operations.
Job Description
As the Accounts and Operations Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Manage Accounts Payable and Receivables.
* Checking orders, invoice processing, receipts and payments.
* Bank statement reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
* Monitor cash flow and report any issues.
* Resolving payment / invoice queries.
* VAT return preparation.
* Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
* Payroll preparation.
* Staff on-boarding and holiday management.
* Work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve the company's financial goals.
* Providing support to Operations.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in your application for Accounts and Operations Assistant, you should have:
* Experience working in a similar Accounts role.
* Experience supporting the operations team within an SME.
* High level of proficiency with Xero.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
