Project Details
Projects will largely be new build and refurbishment projects and there is strong emphasis within this role towards projects in the residential sector.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Regular site visits – based largely in the south of the UK (including, but not exclusive to Essex, Kent, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire)
2. Inspecting contractors work based on specifications, plans, building regulations etc
3. Report writing – This is includes the uploading of photo’s
4. Snagging inspections
5. Identifying and reporting a defects
6. Client facing responsibilities to a demanding client
Desired Skills and Experience
7. Knowledgeable construction professional with experience in a similar role previously. This could include clerk or works, building control / warranty inspector or site manager
8. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in the residential sector
9. Good knowledge or building regulations and the ability to read construction drawings
10. IT literate is essential
11. Report writing skills (You may be asked to provide evidence of this as part of the interview process)
12. Strong client facing skills are required to fulfil this role and previous demonstrable experience of this would be advantageous.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
13. CSCS Card or similar
14. A formal qualification in construction, engineering or project management would be advantageous, but is not essential
