We are currently working with a very high profile international client who are a leading facilities management provider in the UK. They require an experienced Chef Manager for a contract catering operation just outside of Newcastle.
This is a permanent role Paying £30,000 to £32,000 pa. Hours are based on working Monday to Friday with the odd weekend if required. You will manage the chef brigade ensuring that the team provides a breakfast, lunch and dinner for the site clientele. It is crucial that you are comfortable following spec lists for meal preparation and are fully understanding of all relevant health & safety food hygiene requirements. There is a high level of paperwork required for this role and you must therefore be computer literate and understand the key processes relating to health & safety, budgeting, forecasting and kitchen audits.With this in mind you must have a Food Hygiene Certificate minimum level 2, preferably level 3.
With this being a security focused site it is preferable that you are already in poaeaaion of a basic DBS certificate. You will be contracted to a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week, mainly Monday to Friday with some weekend work. Hours of work will be an 8 hour shift between 6am and 8pm.
