About The Role
As a Procurement Manager, Packaging you'll manage the procurement of all Goods Not For Resale within the Packaging category, which is responsible for all strategically sourcing packaging to support our Manufacturing facilities ranging from our abattoirs to produce packing plants.
With the new legislation on Extended Producer Responsibility, packaging will have a more significant role, with a full review of the material strategy and pack type definition.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Working to limit non-contractual spending through the stakeholder base, driving corrective action where needed, ensuring best practice through continued training and support
* Negotiation and Supplier Management of Packaging spend
* Optimising clear strategies to support raw material fluctuations
* Defining and Developing a clear savings plan linked to packaging specification reviews and sourcing activities
* You will act as a trusted advisor to our five stakeholder groups: suppliers, customers, colleagues, shareholders, and communities to build a pipeline for future procurement improvements within the category.
* Complete activities required to support the full Business Continuity lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation and validation

* To ensure the detailed forward-looking 3-year category plans are agreed with stakeholders, aligned to the wider business objectives, and regularly reviewed based on changing business needs and supply markets.
* Plan, schedule and support the delivery of workshops, meetings and training sessions
This is a hybrid role operating over a four and a half day working week. This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

* Knowledge of relevant markets and trends, including third-party
* A strong understanding of the technical raw material makeup would be desirable to support mitigating the costs associated with EPR.
* Strong negotiating skills
* To be able to demonstrate the importance of leading-edge subject matter expertise through example
* Use of digital Enablers (eProc and digital Proc)
* Knowledge of relevant forms of contract to best procure goods and services
