Our client is seeking a talented Route Development Manager to join their dynamic teams in either Birmingham, Manchester, Heathrow or Earl Shilton!
Role overview:
As a Route Development Manager you will be responsible for driving the strategic and profitable growth of the trade through ownership of overall trade lane development plan. This role involves cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners, identifying new opportunities for growth, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities as the Route Development Manager:
1. Accountable for the profitable growth of the trade.
2. Develop and implement strategies to grow volumes on assigned trade lane in Ocean (FCL & LCL) and Air.
3. Drive volume growth and new business opportunities through a combination of direct sales activity from own customer portfolio (qualification to closure) and support to Business Development and Key Account teams as subject matter expert for your trades.
4. Develop and maintain joint pipeline with key partners working in a collaborative way to mutually develop new business opportunities.
5. Collaborate and work closely with Trade and Pricing teams, exchanging market intelligence and ensuring rate competitiveness.
