The Role:
* Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams in diagnosing and resolving control-related issues.
* Design and develop Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems for industrial processes.
* Develop user-friendly Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications to support real-time process control.
* Design and configure Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for monitoring industrial processes.
* Write, test, and debug programs for control systems, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
* Collaborate with Electrical Engineers and Technicians in control panel design, wiring, and onsite modifications.
* Interpret electrical drawings and troubleshoot control panels.
* Configure and test control panels before Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
* Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols to integrate PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
The Person:
* Experience: Strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems, automation solutions, and SCADA/PLC systems in an industrial environment.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in fault-finding, programming PLCs, and configuring SCADA systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and HMI design.
* Electrical Skills: Experience in wiring and installation of control panels and industrial instrumentation. Ability to read electrical drawings.
* Qualifications: Recognised apprenticeship as an Electrical or Mechatronic Technician, ideally with higher-level education.
