Hours:
* Monday - Friday (40hrs per week)
Our client is a family run day nursery group with 35 years of experience in making a real difference to families, our team, the environment, and the community. The Nursery Manager is key in supporting the nursery team to be brilliant. Our client is looking for someone with expertise in early years and nursery leadership experience, who is looking to take the next exciting step in their career.
The Role:
The Nursery Manager position is a diverse and exciting role, working in dual leadership with another Nursery Manager. The dual leadership structure provides the breadth of skills, knowledge, and expertise that when combined is more robust to successfully lead and manage the day to day running of an outstanding setting. Together you will lead on all aspects of the early years provision, children, safeguarding, parents, and team issues in a professional manner, in line with the organisation's procedures and values. The role specifically leads the care and education across the setting, with key responsibilities including:
* Delivery of Care and Education
* Team Development
* Operational Leadership
* Being the SENCO for the setting and leading on all aspects of the SENCO role
* Taking a lead in Ofsted inspections of the Nursery and completing the learning walk
* Keeping up to date with policies and procedures, statutory requirements
* Meeting the nursery's financial objectives, maximising revenue, managing budgets and expenditure in line with our vision and values, to include accurate administration of SEN funding and expenditure
Required Skills & Experience:
* Qualified in Early Years to level 6 or 7, with at least 2 years experience in leading a team in an early years environment
* Ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders, children, parents, and team members, with excellent communication skills and maintaining confidentiality
* Ability to communicate our team and brand values through excellent communication and teamwork
* Willing and able to travel to monthly meetings at central office or nursery settings in Essex/Herts when needed
* Eligible to work in the UK and obtain a satisfactory DBS
