1. BEPs : Help clients transform their operating model, processes, systems, data in preparation for Pillar 2
2. Managed Services : Provide compliance services to global clients across a range of tax, accounting, transfer pricing obligations under a managed service arrangement
3. Technology: Help clients leverage the right technology, tools and platforms to transform their tax function
4. Tax Operating Model: Collaborate with clients to build and operate a leading tax function, managing tax risk, opportunities, reputation and compliance
5. Data Management: Support client tax teams to maximise the use of data available in the organisation in order to effectively manage the Tax Function
Data & Technology
We are looking for experienced Tax Transformation Senior Managers with the ability to analyse tax requirements, design tax processes and implement tax technology solutions. You will have experience in one or more of the following areas, Technology Transformation (ERP), General Transformation and Tax Provision Technology.
Role & Responsibilities:
At Senior Manager level you will:
6. Lead and manage the overall delivery of tax transformation and technology projects, often as part of a wider finance transformation program
7. Understand clients priorities and design, build and deploy automation solutions which are designed for Tax
8. Support clients in designing systems which address tax requirements in different countries in the optimal way
9. Work together with Tax Transformation and GCT colleagues as well as other teams in KPMG such as Consulting
10. Help clients develop robust global governance and control frameworks
11. Develop our service offerings and service delivery models
12. Identify opportunities to provide additional services that the client may need and liaise with subject specialists
13. Establish and maintain strong client relationships with our clients
14. Have excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills
15. Take personal responsibility and accountability for own work, sustain high levels of drive and enthusiasm
16. Performance manage managers and assistant managers and oversee the output from offshore resource in order to deliver client projects;
17. Ensure projects are appropriately resourced and utilised efficiently
18. Develop the team technically, providing stretching opportunities and giving regular feedback
19. Coach and support for other team members
20. Follow KPMG best practice and policy

ERP Transformation
21. Hands-on experience of working in SAP finance and controlling modules
22. Strong and practical ERP finance and tax experience of configuring SAP S4 HANA,
23. Experience of integrating VAT determination engines and bolt-ons
24. Knowledge of implementing tax determination tools such as Vertex O-Series, Thomson Reuters OneSource Determination, or Meridian VAT Add-On
25. Hands-on tax technology implementation experience, including requirements gathering from a tax, IT and users and creating and reviewing design documentation
26. Awareness of technology and automation to drive efficiency, risk management and value
27. Experience in process, risk and controls design
28. Experience of delivering large scale SAP ECC and S/4 HANA finance and tax transformation implementations
29. Able to understand key tax requirements translate those into SAP system design specifications
30. Practical knowledge and understanding of implementing SAP global tax management solutions like Tax compliance, Document Reporting and Compliance
31. Should be able to suggest practical solutions for setting up intercompany billing processes to support operational transfer pricing requirements
32. Should have an understanding of GL accounting, financial close and material ledgers
33. Preferably have an understanding of SAP Profitability and Performance Analysis (PaPM) module to implement tax use cases
34. Must have experience of reviewing the SAP native tax configurations and suggesting any improvements and remedial plans
35. Strong and practical ERP finance and tax experience of configuring SAP S4 HANA
Tax Transformation
36. Experience in designing tax transformation and technology roadmaps and translating into a transformation program
37. Ability to support tax transformation workshops – identifying and prioritizing key pain points, developing and supporting the implementation of technology roadmap
38. Ability to define business requirements and translate to supporting functional/ non-functional requirement gathering and creating and reviewing design documentation, for example; BFRDs, Solution design document, architecture mapping
39. Acting as a functionality translator, being the primary liaison between technology teams and tax teams
40. Deep tax compliance, reporting and/or automation expertise
41. Tax transformation experience, including tax governance, process design and improvement
42. Strong understanding of key drivers in the tax transformation market be that BEPS Pillar 2, Making Tax Digital, E-Invoicing etc
43. Experience in support clients on business case development for transformation projects
44. Experience in managing workstreams on large scale tax change programs, coordinating across multiple project areas (op model, process design, technology implementation, architecture, project management / change management etc.)
45. Ability to undertake technology scorecard and vendor assessments, presenting findings and recommendations back to clients in a clear and defined manner
46. Awareness or experience of tax and accounting compliance processes (e.g., Direct/Indirect tax returns, statutory accounting)
47. Designing or implementing cloud-based practical applications from a tax perspective
48. Acting as a functionality translator, being the primary liaison between technology teams and tax teams
Tax Provision Technology
49. Understanding of group tax reporting processes and experience with current state process review and design of new / updated processes for multinational groups
50. Knowledge of the third party tax provision solution market for IFRS groups and exposure to the benefits and drawbacks of the major solutions
51. Practical hands-on experience with the end-to-end implementation of at least one established third party tax provision solution, ideally Longview Tax Provision, Thomson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision or Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud; alternatively, highly experienced users / administrators of existing builds of these systems who wish to gain implementation experience will be considered
52. Experience of taking a leading role on projects involving technology implementation or change
53. Capable project manager
54. Functional knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP tax accounting, including tax consolidation
55. Awareness of drivers for change in group tax reporting processes, including the interaction between tax provision and BEPS Pillar 2
56. Experience of helping groups to build a business case for tax reporting transformation
57. Professional accounting or tax qualification and/or experience working in an in-house tax team with tax reporting responsibilities
58. Exposure to popular ERP and consolidation systems (SAP, Oracle / HFM, Workday, Dynamics 365, etc.) would be an advantage
