Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager with experience of working across clients, project delivery teams, finance and marketing, working on client-led projects, who has excellent leadership, delegation and team development skills, is required for a well-established organisation based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire.
SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: South Kirkby, West Yorkshire (WF9) – Office Based
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent – Part-Time working will be considered (pro rata basis)
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, 9:00am – 17:30pm Monday to Friday (Flexibility required based on colleague and business needs, part time hours will be considered)

The role of Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager is an entrepreneurial research community development role in the creative industries with a focus in Live Experiences.
As the Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager you will oversee the successful development of a thriving paid membership community of like-minded business and organisations, working together to research and develop the future of world class Live Experiences.
Research projects will include industry research and development, academic research, artistic & creative endeavours and commercial enterprise. Research themes include:
1. Live Experience Technologies – sound, light, video, immersive, HCI, spatial, personalisation
2. Supply Chain & Sustainability
3. Virtual Production
4. Real-time performance capture
5. Simulation and Environment Development
6. Ethical AI
DUTIES
This is a client management and commercial management role, working across clients, project delivery teams, finance and marketing, where duties as the Research Membership Manager / Client and Commercial Account Manager will include:
1. Achieving Memberships financial and performance KPIs through management of membership and subscription enquiries, quotations, contract management and support
2. Maintaining systems and documentation
3. Attending cross-functional / cross-BU commercial, sales and planning meetings
4. Leading the tracking, reporting and performance review processes with internal and external stakeholders
5. Tracking and progressing new memberships opportunities
6. Organising and facilitating client project meetings and other workshops and activities with members
7. Facilitating the Research Centre governance including Boards and Steering Groups
8. Collaborating with Marketing to organise and run events and communications, including Quarterly R&D industry foresight and Annual Research reports
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
1. An Undergraduate Degree in a subject relevant to the role or equivalent professional experience
2. Business Development and Account/Client Management
3. Experience of working with client led projects
4. Significant experience in the delivery of dynamic projects, preferably in either a; training/education, creative industries, research or development setting
5. Experience of sales and marketing operations
6. Experience of reporting and auditing
7. Understanding of the development of collaborative communities and teams
8. Leadership, delegation and the development of autonomous teams
9. Friendly, Tenacious and Likeable

11. Commercially minded
12. High standard of leadership skills
13. Strong ability to manage, influence and motivate clients and stakeholders

Desirable
1. Experience in working in the Creative Live Experience Industry
2. Experienced application of Research & development processes, techniques and evaluation methods
3. Experience in conceiving and managing complex initiatives in a technology and innovation environment
4. Experience of developing and participating in collaborative R&D projects with a commercial element to them
5. Experience in funding applications and bid writing
6. Background understanding of the live experience Screen and Stage industries
7. Membership and/or subscription systems and administration
8. Event management
9. Understanding of UK R&D Tax relief
