NCH&C are excited to advertise for the opportunity for a motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our growing team at the new Willow Unit.
The Willow Therapy Unit will be a 48 bedded inpatient unit based at Norwich Community Hospital. Therapy staff will be available from 7am to 7.30pm, seven days a week - supporting faster recovery for patients and minimising the risk of deconditioning.
Exercises classes and other activities will be provided by local voluntary sector partners, helping patients recover faster. Interactive technology will be available to further aid patient rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job
* To assess and prescribe care programmes for patients with, but not exclusive to, long term conditions, the frail and elderly, palliative care and rehabilitation needs, to achieve quality of life and independence where possible.
* To work within the integrated team to facilitate early discharge from hospital.
* To work within the integrated team to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital.
* To work with all health care professionals, and statutory and non-statutory agencies to provide a seamless integrated service to our service users.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc or MSc Hons in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
* Active HCPC registration.
Experience
* Ability to provide holistic, patient centred care.
* Ability to deliver effective patient care & inputting data/patient records.
* Demonstrate that you can work in a team environment.
* Post-graduate experience in a range of clinical settings.
* Support/supervision of students and unregistered colleagues.
* Experience in inpatients Rehab/Reablement setting.
Skills, Ability & Knowledge
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Good observational and reporting skills.
* Good time management skills / prioritisation to manage stressful situations.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Have basic IT and standard keyboard skills.
* Be able to manoeuvre patients using handling aids, manoeuvre limbs & bend, kneel and stoop.
* Evidence of post-graduate CPD.
* Experience of audits/research.
Communication
* Able to communicate effectively in written and verbal English Language.
* Demonstrates active listening skills.
* Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, empathy and sensitivity.
* Demonstrate ability to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients, relatives, health & social care professionals.
* Ability to be concise and feedback information in a clear and defined way.
