As the H&S Officer, you will play a crucial role in protecting the health and safety of contractors, associates, and staff. You will have the opportunity to guide and direct the organisation in adhering to H&S regulations, as well as designing and implementing safety programmes tailored to their specific needs. Your expertise will be utilised to develop training systems for associates and staff, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge to maintain a safe working environment.
Your responsibilities will include conducting on-site audits to verify adherence to work-specific RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), collaborating with the Office Manager to meet H&S requirements for office-based staff, and reviewing RAMS for customer jobs. Additionally, you will attend customer meetings and sites to assess H&S needs, support business growth by providing H&S expertise to Business Development Managers, lead investigations into incidents and accidents, and establish systems to continuously monitor safety performance.

To be considered for this role, you must have a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. A strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations is essential, as is experience in managing contractors from an EHS standpoint and conducting incident investigations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required, and any additional training provided will further enhance your skills and career progression.
