The Role
You'll work within a small, dynamic team, where flexibility and self-motivation are crucial. As many of the customers are in technical environment, a strong background and interest in science or engineering is vital.
Your success in this role will be defined by your ability to attract new customers and business partners, drive revenue through upselling and cross-selling, ensure customer retention, and contribute to the overall success of our sales team and the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handling sales enquiries from emails and phone calls
2. Generating a detailed technical response and/or formal quotation where required
3. Developing and managing the business with assigned distributors/customers
4. Identifying specific business needs and providing product sales training for distributors
5. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers / distributors
6. Creating/identifying new sales opportunities and developing them into sales
7. Selecting and appointing new distributors for the required markets
8. Meeting sales targets set by the Sales Manager and identify opportunities for future growth
9. Collaborating with all available company resources to fulfil the customer requirements
10. Monitoring the progress of live enquiries and maintain contact with customers to progress enquiries to firm orders
11. Maintaining the CRM system and frequently update records of enquiries and the sales pipeline
12. Providing the Sales Manager with reports on the status of all enquiries on the system, including recommended actions for individual enquiries
13. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and the products
14. Attending shows, exhibitions and customer sites as required by the strategic marketing plan
Requirements:
Holds a BSc or BEng degree
A minimum of 2+ years of sales experience in a technical environment (scientific experience would be beneficial)
Experience using CRM systems
Excellent presentation skills
Confident communicator
Salary
The salary offered for this position is £35,000- £45,000 plus bonus to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
