The role
Ramsay Health Care UK is part of a global hospital operating group and is now the 4th largest provider of private healthcare in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic and progressive senior leadership team in a secondment opportunity at Fulwood Hall Hospital as Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Hospital Director, you’ll ensure the successful operation of Fulwood Hall Hospital, taking responsibility for the non-clinical departments which underpin our ability to provide excellent care to patients. With a focus on innovation, you’ll ensure that our services deliver the highest standards, whilst meeting budgetary requirements and business deadlines. As our Operations Manager you’ll be expected to build and develop key relationships with stakeholders across the business, supporting our central functions to deliver and implement commercial strategies and systems.
Where you’ll be based
Fulwood Hall Hospital opened as a purpose built facility in 1986. In 2009 the hospital completed a £9m pound investment to refurbish and expand the site, making it the largest independent hospital in Lancashire and one of the largest in the north of England.
What you’ll bring with you
* Management experience with proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* A flexible, can do, innovative approach to your work
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Demonstrate financial and commercial acumen (ideally through previous P&L responsibility)
* Strong computer skills (MS Office package)
* Qualification in management or similar qualification – desirable
* Previous private health experience would be an advantage
